Background
I always had a deep love and appreciation for fine art. From a young age, arts and crafts were my favorite pastime, and it was evident that I had a natural talent for it.
However, as I grew older, I was torn between my love for art and my academic abilities in math and science. I ultimately decided to pursue a career in nutrition and dietetics, as it seemed more practical at the time and I had a strong desire to learn more about the impact of nutrition on disease.
In 2021, I decided to pursue another one of my passions, painting. I have experimented with various forms of art, from crocheting to card making, but it is painting that truly captured my heart because it is very welcoming and forgiving.
I love abstract art because it allows me to express myself freely without any limitations or expectations.
Philosophy and Inspiration
At the heart of my art is a profound belief in the transformative power of color and joy. I believe that vibrant, colorful art has the ability to uplift spirits, evoke emotions, and bring a sense of peace and happiness into our lives.
My work is a celebration of life’s beauty, expressed through bold hues and dynamic abstract forms that invite viewers to experience a spectrum of feelings and thoughts.

Creative Journey
My work encompasses colorful and vibrant abstract paintings, prints, and an array of merchandise such as t-shirts, mugs, tote bags, phone cases, yearly calendars, and puzzles.
Looking ahead, I envision Holly Forbes Art becoming a recognized and sought-after name in the art world. My goal is to create dynamic and uplifting abstract art that resonates with individuals worldwide, spreading happiness and igniting emotions. I aspire to see my work in prestigious spaces such as hotels, restaurants, luxury homes, and even on television.
More importantly, I want my art to continue being a source of peace, joy, and inspiration for people from all walks of life. I look forward to exploring new artistic techniques, collaborating with other creatives, and expanding the reach of my work.
The journey of Holly Forbes Art is a testament to the power of following one’s passion, embracing change, and finding joy in the creative process.
Achievements
My art has been recognized and celebrated, earning an honorable mention for my painting “Blaze in Love” at the Broward Art Guild’s Spring Exhibition and featuring in exhibitions like ArtServe’s Looking Forward and NAMI’s Artful Minds event.
How do you do what you do? Give us some insights into your tools, techniques, and creative process.
I create vibrant, abstract art using heavy body acrylic paints and a mix of tools like brushes, gold leaf, resin, crystals/minerals, spray paint, and stencils, guided by intuition and emotion. My process involves layering colors and textures to evoke movement and energy.
To expand my art's reach, I partner with a print-on-demand service, offering merchandise such as t-shirts, mugs, and phone cases. This allows me to focus on creativity while ensuring high-quality products.
My goal is to bring healing, inspiration, and joy through both original artworks and everyday items, infusing life with color and positivity.
What advice or tips can you offer someone interested in doing what you do?
Follow your passion and embrace experimentation. If you don't know how to do something, the internet is your friend. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes—they lead to discovery.
Connect with others in the industry.
Most importantly, just start! The first step you take will lead you to your next step.

I'm excited to announce a month-long group exhibit at Plunge Beach Resort and a solo exhibit at Charlie St. Flowers Coffee Shop.
